1. About this policy
This policy applies to Murati Equity Pty Ltd (ABN 71 703 572 570, ACN 703 572 570), referred to as "we", "us" or "our". It explains how we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information through this website (muratiequitytec.online) and in the course of our business.
We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), to the extent they apply to us. Where it is lawful and practicable, you may deal with us anonymously or under a pseudonym (APP 2), although we will usually need a name and email address to respond to an enquiry.
2. What we collect
The personal information we collect is limited to what we need for the purpose concerned. It may include:
- your name, email address and, if you give it, your organisation and role;
- the content of your enquiry and any further correspondence;
- information about a business or property you choose to share with us, which may include personal information about owners, directors or other people connected with it.
We do not ask for sensitive information (such as health information or racial or ethnic origin). Please do not send it to us. If we receive sensitive information we did not ask for, we will handle it as the APPs require, which may mean destroying or de-identifying it.
3. How we collect it
We collect personal information directly from you when you email us, use the enquiry form on our contact page (which opens your own email app), or deal with us in the course of a business discussion. Sometimes we receive it from a third party, such as an accountant, lawyer or agent introducing you. When that happens we will take reasonable steps to let you know, as APP 5 requires.
4. How we use it
We use personal information to:
- reply to your enquiry and continue any discussion that follows;
- assess a business or property opportunity you have brought to us;
- manage our interests and keep proper company records;
- meet our legal, tax and regulatory obligations.
We do not sell personal information. We will only send you marketing material if you have asked for it, and you can opt out at any time by emailing us.
5. Disclosure
We may disclose personal information to our professional advisers (such as accountants and lawyers), to service providers who help us run our business (such as email and website hosting providers), and to government bodies where the law requires it. We require service providers to handle personal information only for the purpose we engaged them for.
Some of our service providers may store or process data outside Australia. Where personal information is disclosed overseas, we take reasonable steps under APP 8 to ensure it is handled consistently with the APPs.
6. Cookies and website data
This website is a static site. It does not set its own cookies, and it does not use analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. Our hosting provider may automatically record standard technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and protect it from misuse. We do not use that information to identify you.
7. Storage, security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure (APP 11). Information is held in secured electronic systems with access limited to those who need it.
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, or as long as the law requires us to keep records. After that we destroy or de-identify it.
8. Access and correction
You may ask for access to the personal information we hold about you (APP 12), and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading (APP 13). Email ceo@muratiequitytec.online. We will respond within a reasonable time, usually 30 days. If we refuse a request, we will tell you why in writing, unless the law prevents us from doing so.
9. Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your personal information, please email ceo@muratiequitytec.online with the details. We will acknowledge your complaint, look into it and tell you the outcome in writing.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or by calling 1300 363 992.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always the one published on this page, with its date shown at the top.
